My lord I really should learn to experiment with photoshop because it's so scary and intimidating and I'm just so spoiled by painting in real life ;___; Oil paints are the best.

Anyway, kind of a gift for

, the thing is I actually had a dream about her a few days ago, in which I was supposedly sitting with her and I needed to tweak her likeness in a painting. The painting floated and depicted her with a hairbun and.. rainbow hair. It was glimmering and shining and I kept trying to fix it and tweak it while thinking "How did she get a bun in that hairstyle?"

I was honestly confused as to why her hair was like that, and as I was tweaking her hair there was a depiction of night and day going in the background, like she was on a plate of glass pointing to the sky.

I wanted to draw it when I initially woke up, but I thought it was too creepy, but after seeing one of her most recent journals, I felt compelled to do it. It's just incredible how a person with so much positive energy and bounciness can have such an awful thing happen to her, and still she's so positive. I really admire that, and hope that she gets the assistance she deserves.

So she's basically getting out of a whole lot of abuse and I'm sitting here having dreams of her positivity being.. incorporated into rainbow hair :-[

Also in another part of the dream as she went off to do something and i awaited orders, she mentioned as a child she was just blonde so I began drawing a kid version of her on the side just floating, BUT THAT SEEMED TOO WEIRD TO ADD TO THE PICTURE OKAY

Why does this make me think of a crossover between Sailor Moon (a show I hate) and Rainbow Dash from MLP: FiM (a show I love)?

Whatever. The artwork is beautiful, the day and nigt spots add a nice touch, and I'm sure that your friend loved this!

Funny enough it's National Coming Out (of the Closet) Day.
And Rainbow is what we use to represent that, to show openness to all sexualities.

Aaaanywho, this is a really nice gift. I like how the bun has a little star in the middle. ^^
